I was contacted by a breeder Sunday night about advertising for him on my website. I guess he had a couple of people back out of adopting the Fennec babies he had available. So I told him I was still looking for a fox and asked when they would be ready to ship out. He told me they had just turned 6 weeks old on May 30, and I told him I would love to adopt one. There are three babies, 2 females and 1 male. They were born to Echo and Radar, which came from Sheri Hanna in California. She took over Lynn Hall's business, and he was the first person to bring Fennec Foxes into the United States over 40 years ago! I feel like these babies are part of a championship bloodline, having been the first domesticated Fennecs in the United States.
Well, now he is scheduling a Vet exam so he can get the health certificate, and scheduling her to fly in Wednesday! I am so excited, I am still in a daze about it all and cannot get over how fast everything happened. All that is left now until Wednesday is to get a new copy of my Driver's License (my wallet was stolen a week ago) so I can pick up the little female at the airport.
He told me she was the calmest out of the litter of the 2 females and one male. I hope she stays that way. She is less than 1 pound now, and is so adorable. This is a video of them at 4 weeks old, and keep an eye out for my next post, which will have updated pictures of her! And I am still not sure what to name her - Lillith, Chloe, or Eevee so let me know what you guys think . . . You can comment below!
